My name is Haley Woods. I am a 22 year old senior at Arkansas State University. I am a College of Business student studying International Business, Global Supply Chain Management and Marketing.
My father was in the Army, so as a child I got the chance to live in Germany and travel throughout Europe with my family. I have always loved seeing new sights and meeting new people as well as observing different cultures. I am always wanting to learn. I learned German when I lived in Germany, so I ended up becoming passionate about it and studied German in college. I became immersed in learning about the culture and everything that Germany has to offer.
I have always been interested about how the business world operates internationally, therefore leading to what I want to do in my career. I would love to work with a German company one day. I would love to one day become a purchaser for an international company with the intention of traveling and exploring all things global.

Last summer, I interned at SemperMed USA, Inc. It is an international medical glove company. I learned the entire supply chain process of the company. I handled the logistics of transportation orders, shipment requests, and tracking orders. I also received and processed customer orders and returns. I got the chance to assist in the distribution operations such as picking/packing shipments, unloading/loading trucks, learning how to use the scanner to locate products and follow the computer system processes. I was luck enough to be able to provide research on the 2015 UPS and FedEx Dimensional Weight Change. I learned so much in this internship and it helped me decide that I want to go into international purchasing.
